Is there a family discount? When may I expect the discount to show?

Yes, there is. We are happy to be able to offer this year an additional $25 discount for the second, third, and fourth child, up to a maximum discount of $75 per family. Once tryouts and evaluations are done, our Registrar will reach out to all parents/guardians of rostered athletes with next steps on how to request the family discount. Discounts will come in the form of a reimbursement. We anticipate being able to reimburse all allowable discounts by mid December.

What is your refund policy?

We are able to refund fees up to final team placements have been made. All cancellation requests up to the day of the player's final Classic tryout day or Rec Evals day are eligible for refunds.

Do we have to wear masks?

Because we use the Sherwood School District facilities, we will need to comply with the current guidelines. As of September 3, 2021, masks are not required for indoor or outdoor competitive sports, when in active play on the court. Spectators, coaches, and athletes on the sidelines or stands will need to wear a mask.

If masks become required for active play and we choose to pull our player out of the program, will we be eligible for a refund?

If teams have not yet been finalized, yes. We are unable to issue refunds once a team roster has been finalized.

If the season is cut short due to state or local guidelines for COVID-19 safety, will we be eligible for a refund?

The SBO Board is committed to ensuring players and families are made whole where we can make it possible. We will discuss the potential of a partial refund based on the guidelines, the current situation, and the timing within the season.

My player wants to try out for the High School program. If he/she doesn't make the team, can he/she still sign up for the Rec program?

Absolutely! The High School programs will hold their tryouts in mid-November. It's exactly for this reason why we close our registration for our High School Rec program at the end of November. This year, registration closes on November 30 and evaluations are tentatively set for the week of December 6.

Can kids from kids from other cities and/or non-Sherwood schools play in your program?

SBO's programs are limited to youth who are Sherwood residents and/or attend a school based in Sherwood, OR.

I missed the registration window. Are you accepting late registrations?

We are not accepting late registrations.
