  • How much is it per player and what does the fee cover?
For the 2023 - 2024, season, the fee per player is $175 for the Rec program and $550 for the Classic program. To learn more on what the fee covers, please visit our Programs page.
  • Is there a family discount? When may I expect the discount to show?
Yes, there is. We are happy to be able to offer this year an additional $25 discount for the second, third, and fourth child, up to a maximum discount of $75 per family. Please make sure to indicate in your player's registration that his or her registration is part of a family discount application. Discounts will come in the form of a reimbursement. We anticipate being able to reimburse all allowable discounts by the end of December.
  • Is there a scholarship program available?
We have full and partial scholarships available for the 2023 - 2024 season. The total number we can offer is limited to available funds. Additional details, including how to apply, are available on our Scholarship Application Form. If applying for a scholarship, please complete the form and email to registrar@sherwoodbasketball.com first. She will then advise you on next steps for completing the player registration. If you already paid and your player is approved for a scholarship, our Registrar will process a refund of your payment.
  • What is your refund policy?
We are able to refund fees up to final team placements have been made which is within 2 - 3 days after Classic tryouts or Rec evaluations have been completed.
  • If my player tries out for a Classic team and doesn't make the team, is he/she automatically registered for the Rec program?
Yes, your player's registration is brought over to the Rec program's list. Your player will still need to attend Rec evaluations in November for team placement. Once we have final team rosters, we will reimburse the difference of the Classic fee and the Rec fee.
  • Do you allow kids to play above their current grade level?
It is our policy that athletes play for the school grade they are currently enrolled in. Exceptions to try out may be granted and team placement will be based on skill level and the number of players registered. These are rare and require SBO Board approval. We recommend you register your athlete for their current grade and let us know via registrar@sherwoodbasketball.com your athlete's request for an exception.
  • My player wants to try out for the High School program. If he/she doesn't make the team, can he/she still sign up for the Rec program?
Absolutely! The High School programs will hold their tryouts in mid-November. It's exactly for this reason why we close our registration for our High School Rec program at the beginning of December.
  • I missed the registration window. Is there a wait list?
For the 2023 - 2024 season, there will be wait list option for our programs that will open the day after the regular registration for your athlete's grade closes. Our wait lists close no more than 3 days after registration closes. Log on to your account to sign up for the wait list. If you have any questions, please email registrar@sherwoodbasketball.com.
  • Can non-Sherwood kids sign up to play?
